At Jerry Mainil Ltd., the safety of our employees, customers, and the public is paramount.  We believe training and mentorship are essential keys to a safe worksite.  We believe that three items exemplify our steadfast dedication to safety: Commitment, Empowerment, and Improvement.

Commitment: For more then 15 years, JML has met the national standard for safety programming by maintaining a COR(Certificate of Recognition) program. This program is an extensive evaluation of all aspects of the program including documentation as well as interviews with all levels of staff. An audit is conducted yearly with an external audit every three years affirming that we have a complete, established set of procedures/policies, training and program in place.  Our experienced, conscientious management team supports and believes that the safety of our people is our greatest asset.

Empowerment:  All employees under go in-house safety training and orientations as well as holding all valid industry standard safety tickets. JML has a robust safety incentive program that recognizes the safe behaviors and actions of employees with a rewards program. Employees are encouraged to actively participate in the safety program by attending a company wide monthly safety meeting that has been running every month since 2006.

Improvement:  Our health and safety program is monitored on a regular basis to ensure that is kept up to date with industry standards and current regulations.  The full time health safety manager holds a CRST(Canadian Registered Safety Technician) designation as well as being a trainer through Energy Safety Canada to ensure we have the most update to training for our employees. The Safety manager also makes regular field visits to observe that the work is being carried out to the highest safety standards. Continuous improvement also means that our safety and management team complete field inspections to ensure our program will function at the field level.
